DEMANTOID GARNET
Demantoid garnet is the rarest and most valuable of the garnets, and is one of the rarest of all colored gemstones. Until recently, it was little known except among collectors. It is usually found in small sizes, under one carat, and any over two carats are considered extremely rare. The name comes from “demant”, meaning 'diamond-like'. It references its incomparable brilliance and fire. Some claim that a demantoid will continue to glow, even in the shade. Among the rare garnets, fine demantoid is significantly more valuable than tsavorite and spessartine, and exudes a color and vitality no other gemstone on earth can match. Garnet is the birthstone for January, and the gemstone for Aquarius. It is the gem for the 2nd, 15th and 19th anniversaries. Demantoid garnets require special care and are not suited for everyday wear. More about Garnet HERE
DIAMOND
For centuries, diamonds have been regarded as the ultimate gift of love. Their dazzling beauty exudes high-society, and they have been known to signify status. Diamonds formed billions of years ago through a combination of tremendous pressure and temperature, far beneath the Earth’s surface. Crystals are brought up through volcanic activity. The average yield in most diamond mines is a staggering 1 part diamond to 1 million parts host rock. Each stone is unique, and no two diamonds can ever be the same. Diamond is the hardest gem of all gems, and is made of only one element, carbon. A gem of winter, the color of ice, it is a crystal of Light having high frequency energy that is dispersed into flashing prisms of brilliant “fire”, typical of the sun. It is a spiritual stone, a symbol of perfection and illumination. Diamond is the birthstone for April, and the gemstone for many horoscope signs. It marks the 10th, 60th and 75th wedding anniversaries. More about Diamond HERE
