BEKILY COLOR-CHANGE GARNET
Bekily color-change garnets are incredibly rare, and were discovered in southern Madagascar in 1998. They were the first blue garnets ever discovered. Bekily color-change garnets rival the finest alexandrite in their blue to purple color-change, and are actually rarer. These garnets usually occur in sizes smaller than one carat, with sizes over a few carats being incredibly difficult to find. Due to this rarity, demand and price for the stone is very high. These colorful gems have been long sought after by collectors. Bekily color-change garnets are some of the top color-change stones in the world.
MAHENGE SPINEL
Mahenge Spinel was found in 2007, and is a very rare gemstone famous for it's intense hot-pink color. As a matter of fact, the color is so saturated it is said to actually glow! Mahenge Spinel is found only in Mahenge, Tanzania, and is very sought-after by collectors. Spinel is a colorful, natural gem that has recently been inducted as an August birthstone. It is also the gem for the 22nd anniversary, and is believed to encourage great passion, devotion and longevity. Spinels have a hardness of 8.0, making them very durable for everyday wear with proper care. More about Spinel HERE
