TANZANITE
Tanzanite is one of the rarest gems on earth, and is the blue- violet variety of the mineral zoisite. Tanzanite is only found in one place on earth- Tanzania, and it was first unearthed in 1967. This is where its name comes from. These highly sought after gems come from an incredibly small mining area near the Mererani Hills. Tanzanite is said to facilitate a higher consciousness and stimulate perception and intuition. It is the gemstone for the zodiac sign Sagittarius. APATITE
Apatite is a naturally occurring mineral, and is quite an underrated beauty. It is scarcely known, but is a stone of intoxicating color that is highly prized by true collectors. Apatite comes in electric hues such as yellow and green, and a variety of other shades. One of the most prized shades is “neon blue”, rivaling that of another very rare and famous gemstone, Paraiba Tourmaline. Apatite is said to decrease hunger, and enhance unconditional love and insight. It is the gemstone for the zodiac sign Gemini, and has a hardness of 5.0. This gemstone requires special care and is not suited for everyday wear.
