COLOR-CHANGE GARNET
Color-change garnets are an exciting and colorful variety of garnet which change color under different lighting. Lake Manyara, Tanzania (see pendant shown), produced a handful of these spectacular gems which change color from velvet purple to rich pink. As a matter of fact, these gems are so nice that many have confused them as the legendary Alexandrite. Color-change garnets are a true rarity in the gemstone world and are absolutely natural, with no enhancements. Garnet is the birthstone for January, and the gemstone for Aquarius and Aries. Color-change garnet is said to lead to success, increase confidence and popularity, and inspire love. It is a lucky stone, and the gem for the 2nd, 15th and 19th anniversaries. Garnets have a hardness of 6.5-7.5, making them very durable for everyday wear with proper care. More about Garnet HERE
